What we do

We convene. We do not govern, lend or regulate.

We have standing with the region's chambers, ministries, universities and international organisations, and can bring them together on a named date.

What we are

A non-profit association under Swiss law, seated in Geneva, that convenes.

Institutional partnerships and international engagement

Our official partners are chambers of commerce, business councils, universities, companies and foundations. We work most substantially with DP World. For formal partnership, see our Partner with us page.

Officials from the United Nations family and the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) take part in our forums in their professional capacity. On 10 October 2025 we co-organised the War, Peace and Neutrality Forum at the United Nations Office at Geneva.

Delegations and missions

We join delegations and events organised by other institutions. We run no standing mission programme and publish no trade-mission schedule. Our record of taking part is on our Events page.

Business and project connections

Because of who attends our forums, we can connect a company, ministry, port authority, chamber or university with the counterpart it needs. Our forums are where those counterparts meet.

Forums and convening

We host our own forums, co-organise with institutional partners, and join other organisations' platforms as a strategic partner. Our complete record since January 2017 is on our Events page.

Caspian Week is our flagship forum, with its own site for editions, speakers and session archives.
